Hi, I'm studying abroad in Hungary and I've been invited to a classmate's home for dinner. I'd like to bring something but I don't know what would be appropriate. Any suggestions?

Hi!

I'm from Budapest,Hungary. I hope I can be of assistance to you. The best things to take as present for a Hungarian family is fresh flowers (no roses) for the hostess and a good wine for the host. If there are children a small chocolate dessert is the best to take.
